Symlabs Federated Identity Suite version 3.5.0 adds features and flexibility

CHICAGO, Aug 28 -- Symlabs, a global leader in the identity management industry, continues to advance the state-of-the art for identity management solutions with the availability of their latest release of Symlabs Federated Identity Suite. The improvements in version 3.5.0 add new capabilities that make building a comprehensive identity management infrastructure, or extending the reach of an existing one, easier than ever before.

Symlabs Federated Identity Suite v3.5.0 now provides support for Windows Cardspace Information Cards, making it an ideal software solution to use in any identity infrastructure that employs WS-* protocols in addition to SAML 2.0 and Liberty Alliance. Security Token Service (STS) functionality is now included in the Identity Provider (IdP) Server, and also as a module that can be deployed separately. Managed Card Provider functionality is also included in the IdP Server to generate and manage Information Cards, and Cardspace logins are now supported as an Identity Provider authentication mechanism.

In addition, Symlabs Federated Identity Suite v3.5.0 includes improved support that makes deploying ID-DAP Web Services Clients (WSC) and Web Services Providers (WSP)as easy as following the built-in demonstration and modifying it to suit your environment. ID-DAP WSC and WSP functionality is a powerful method for securely accessing general database records in a Liberty Web Services Framework which protects the user identity information that is necessary for authentication.

"Symlabs Federated Identity Suite provides all the tools needed to manage a very complex identity infrastructure," said Antonio Navarro, CEO. "It delivers solid performance and reliability, assures security, and has the flexibility to work with a wide variety of protocols and applications right out of the box."

In addition to these enhancements, version 3.5.0 of Symlabs Federated Identity Suite contains improvements in several key internal processes such as credential verification that increase performance and reliability, and has been tested in various interoperability events to verify that it delivers the flexibility and speed to satisfy complex requirements. An evaluation download of Symlabs Federated Identity Suite version 3.5.0 is available now.
