Symlabs Federated Identity Suite Client Kit is a complete set of components specifically designed to give IT departments, systems integrators, and consultants a fast, modular way to identity-enable existing applications.
Service Provider And Web Services Client Connectors
The Client Kit SP connector adds multi-protocol federated identity Service Provider (SP) capability to existing applications, allowing users to enjoy the ease and security of Single Sign-On (SSO) and Single Log-Off (SLO). At the same time, the application benefits from enhanced user identification and auditing capabilities.
The Client Kit also contains multiple Identity Web Services Client (WSC) connectors that enable calls to Identity Web Service Providers (WSP). A WSC connector is included for all Liberty-compliant web services, and a generic Data Service Template WSC is also provided to allow implementation of ID Web Services for passing custom data. Finally, a completely generic Web Services Client is included to support implementation of custom-designed Identity Web Services.
Fast, Painless, Powerful Integration Symlabs Federated Identity Suite Client Kit can be integrated with the application in many ways depending on project requirements. Proxy or redirection methods require minimal changes (sometimes none) to the existing application. This is the best approach for low volume applications, or when limited knowledge of the application is available. High volume applications can gain efficiency by using a "seamless" integration approach, achieved by adding calls to the Client Kit library functions directly into the application. |
